About this remedy
Aksharabhyasam (Vidyarambham), the 'practice of letters', is performed when a child is ready to begin formal education — typically between the ages of two and a half and five.
An auspicious muhurtham is chosen from the child's birth chart. Vedic pundits guide the family through the mantras as the child, seated on a parent's lap, writes the first letters — often ॐ or their own name — on a slate energised with mantras. The ceremony can be held at home, in a temple or in a sacred space we arrange.
Graha Japam, Saraswati Homam and gemstone guidance for intellectual growth can be added on request.
