About this remedy
Aksharabhyasam (Vidyarambham), the 'practice of letters', is performed when a child is ready to begin formal education — typically between the ages of two and a half and five.
An auspicious muhurtham is chosen from the child's birth chart. Our purohits perform the Ganapathi and Saraswati pooja online in the child's name and gotram, with the videos shared on your WhatsApp, and at the muhurtham the child, seated on a parent's lap, writes the first letters at home — ఓం, or ఓం నమః శివాయ సిద్ధం నమః — on a slate or in a plate of rice. We send an energised slate ahead of the day within India only; families abroad use a slate of their own or a plate of rice, and the pooja is the same.
