About this remedy
Nakshatra Havanam is a homam performed to align with and appease the energies of your Janma Nakshatra. It is especially beneficial when the birth chart shows Nakshatra doshas or affliction from malefic planets.
A sacred havan kund is prepared, Vedic mantras invoke the Nakshatra deity, and ahuti of sesame seeds, herbs and ghee are offered into the fire. The ritual is traditionally performed on birthdays by nakshatra, on Purnima or during Nakshatra transits, and as part of graha shanti, naming ceremonies or Upanayanam.
